WCS. 20 July 1928: CEDUNA. March 16.— The Murat Bay District Council’s new council chambers and offices were formally opened on Wednesday afternoon. The building is compact and the offices comfortable and convenient. Mr CA Tonkin addressed a large gathering of representative and influential people who had come from all parts of the district Tor the ceremony. He explained why the premises had been built and reviewed the work the council had done. Refreshments were served. Those proposing toasts were: — Messrs GA Tonkin, BB Hughes, J Talbot, F Gregor, CA Tonkin, and AC Lawrie. The respondent were Miss C. McInerheney., CA Tonkin. EE Lane, AK Thomas, F Gregor, M Fitzgerald, EE Baseby, AE White, W O’Dea, and AC Lawrie.
