WCS. 24 June 1953. A row of Norfolk Island pines was planted along the foreshore opposite the Caravan Park ¦

WCS. 2 September 1953. Ceduna. The District Council of Murat Bay is making extensive improvements on the foreshore. Norfolk Island pines have been planted and the clearing of bush and herbage has begun. An area will be fenced off and seats erected preparatory to children s playground equipment being installed later. Preparations are also being made for the planting of an avenue of trees from Payne s corner at the eastern approach of the main highway, into the town.

WCS. 7 December 1955. Ceduna. A committee of Ceduna men have arranged for community Christmas carols to take place under the pines of the Ceduna Community Hotel lawns ¦ The hotel is assisting by decorating one of the trees with coloured lights, to make a giant and spectacular Christmas tree. Music will be provided by a piano and a choir of possibly fifteen voices. All the popular Christmas songs will be sung. Some will be projected onto a screen set up for the purpose and others from a song sheet to be supplied. The evening is not a means of raising money; it is an effort to bring the true spirit of Christmas to as many as possible and to provide something different in the way of Christmas entertainment.
WCS 2002. Ceduna s soaring Norfolk Pines, which line the median strip in the business district are here to stay.
